Rolls-Royce Power Engineering Plc (Rolls-Royce)

Rolls-Royce Power Engineering plc has had forty years experience in the nuclear energy field, and has been responsible for the design, the procurement and the provision of safety justifications for over 30 reactor plant. The company has been responsible for a number of programmes of work to develop data and understanding of irradiation damage, and to produce irradiation shift models. It has been involved in collaborative projects in this field within Europe, and internationally, for many years.

Main tasks in the project

Rolls-Royce will be Work Package Leader of WP3-1, RPV Applications. In this capacity it will be responsible for constituting the RPV Applications User Group and then working with this group to compile data and use these to test and evaluate the prediction tools developed in the project. In addition, Rolls-Royce will be leading the WP to assess (and help overcome) the barriers to the acceptance of multiscale modelling tools in this field. Effective communication within SP3 and the project as a whole will be required.
