Loughborough University (LOUGH)
Loughborough University dates from 1909, when a small Technical Institute was established to provide local facilities for further education and offered courses in technical subjects, science and art from these humble beginnings on 19 April 1966 Loughborough University of Technology became Britain’s first technological university.
It was renamed as Loughborough University in 1996. It now has more than 13,000 full-time students and one of the biggest campuses in the UK, with 175 hectares of land.
